I first met Doc while a patient at St Josephs Hospital at age 16 when I suffered an hockey injury and Doc was a physician there. he visited me, talked hockey listened to games on the radio and this was the beginning of our long lasting genuine friendship.
Our families enjoyed skiing in Maine during Christmas Vacation, skating at the ring where Doc helped others in skating drills, sailing on Narragansett bay and at time just spending time together. Doc was always there for me and my family and vice versa. Doc was a multi talented man ,physician, husband to his wonderful wife Pina, father and family orientated person.
I pray that the Angels come and carry Doc to Heaven above to be Seated at the Table with our Lord Jesus Christ where he Rightfully Belongs. May Doc rest in Eternal Peace and May Perpetual Peace Always Shine Upon Him.
My Prayers are with his wonderful wife Pina and family during these most difficult of days.
GOD BLESS,
TONY SOSCIA.

I FIRST MET DR DUVA IN THE PENALTY BOX AT THE RHODE ISLAND AUDITORIUM IN THE EARLY 60'S WHEN HE WAS THE PHYSICIAN AT THE HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY GAMES. OUR FRIENDSHIP CONTINUED WHEN HE JOINED THE CRANSTON EAST ALUMNI IN OUR SUNDAY MORNING HOCKEY GAMES. I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING HIS ENTHUSIASM WHEN HE AND LOU WERE GETTING THEIR 8 METER READY FOR THE SAILING SEASON AT NORTON'S MARINA. HE WAS A VERY UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL THAT I HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING. I WILL HAVE A MASS SAID FOR DR DUVA THIS SUNDAY AT ST MICHAEL'S OLD CATHOLIC CHURCH IN DUNEDIN FL. MY CONDOLENCES TO THE ENTIRE DUVA FAMILY ON YOUR LOSS.
