Anthony Wayne Frontiera

Anthony "Tony" Wayne Frontiera, beloved son, brother, companion, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on February 11, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Tony was the cherished son of Joseph and Theresa Frontiera. He grew up in a bustling household as one of nine children, alongside his siblings Katherine Martin, Margaret Frontiera, Michael Frontiera, Roslyn Taylor, Daniel Frontiera, Paul Frontiera, the late Frank Frontiera, and the late Joe Frontiera.
Tony will be fondly remembered by his devoted companion of over 15 years, Helen Barnard, and her loving family, who welcomed him as one of their own. He is also survived by his lifelong best friends, John, Dave, Mark, and Delbert, whose bonds of friendship remained unbroken through the years. Tony's memory will be cherished by many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.
In his professional life, Tony was a skilled landscaper, bringing beauty to the world with his hands and his eye for detail. In recent years he enjoyed working in the auto industry with Suburban Auto in Roseville, Michigan and Jeffrey's Auto Sales in Clinton Township, Michigan. Beyond his work, he was a passionate fan of the Detroit Tigers, rarely missing a game and always cheering for his team. He was also an accomplished bowler, achieving the remarkable milestone of a perfect 300 game, a testament to his dedication and love for the sport.
Tony's love for life extended to his love of travel, exploring new places and creating memories that would last a lifetime. As a proud Navy veteran, Tony served his country with honor and dedication, embodying the values of loyalty and service in all aspects of his life.
Those who knew Tony will remember him for his big heart, his infectious smile, and his unwavering friendship. He had a way of making everyone feel like family, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A committal service to honor Tony's life will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Please arrive between 12:30 pm - 12:45 pm promptly.
