Anthony "Tony" "Popo" Galindo, 60, of San Angelo passed away on April 17, 2025.
Celebration of life service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Delta Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Galindo was born on September 11, 1964 in San Angelo to Tito Galindo and Sylvia Grimaldo. Tony was a very loving Husband, Father & Popo. He was a funny, outgoing, energetic man with a wild, free spirit. Tony was a Big Kid at Heart.
He attended San Angelo Central High School before becoming a cook. Tony was a cook at Las Dos Hermanas, Henry's, and at El Paisano Restaurants. He loved singing, dancing, music, coaching, sports, especially the Houston Texans, and playing golf with his son. Tony was someone who brought people together with BBQ, laughter & love at the Galindo house and loved spending time with family.
He married Erlinda Huerta on June 10, 1990 in San Angelo. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2015.
Tony is survived by five children, Victoria Mendez, Marcus Robles and wife Miranda, Kimberly Gonzales Pepe Casillas, Jennifer Rivera & Ruben Rivera, Patty Galindo and Jonathan Lujan all of San Angelo; four siblings, Ricky Galindo, Tito Galindo, Jr., Debbie Rodriguez, and Sandra Galindo all of San Angelo; he was Popo to 12 grandchildren, Ashanti Jones, Brayden Jones, Maverick Anthony Robles, Jolie Mae Robles, Carlos Gonzales, Mason Martinez, Ruben Anthony Rivera, Isaiah Rivera, Audrina Rivera, Elias Rivera, Zenaida Lynae, and Zane Anthony Galindo; and a very loving uncle Buddy to many nieces and nephews.
