Anthony Garcia was born in Tampa, Florida on January 21, 1935 and passed peacefully on October 1, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Anthony grew up working on his family’s dairy farm. He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and attended the University of Florida. His lifelong career in banking saw him attain the position of executive vice president as well as banking consultant. His profession took him to California where he met and married Joan Riehl Coscia. Their blended family included 3 daughters and 2 sons.

Anthony lived most of his life in California, but his roots and heart were always in Florida. Every Fall he cheered his favorite team, the Florida Gators. Anthony loved taking long road trips to visit family and friends. He spent many happy hours helping organize several high school reunions, enjoyed keeping in touch with classmates and cherished listening to his extensive vinyl music collection.

Anthony is preceded in death by his wife Joan, their son, Frank Coscia and their daughter, Valerie Garcia Hubbell.

Anthony is survived by his daughters Toni Garcia Carpenter (Gideon) and Mary Jo Coscia Reindl (Ben) and son Vince Coscia (Alithia), his grandchildren Gideon Carpenter Jr. (Keia), Katherine Leigh Carpenter, Nicole Coscia, Robert Reindl (Sarah McGregor), Rachel Reindl Nardecchia (Brent), his niece Lori Riehl and nephews Mark Riehl, Michael McFarland and CJ McFarland as well as five great-grandchildren.

A private family Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
