Rev. Anthony G. Givens

Nicholasville, Kentucky - Anthony G. Givens, 70,
passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Baptist
Health Lexington. He was born on July 3, 1954, in
Lexington to Reuben and Betty Givens.
Anthony was known for his passionate devotion to
Christ. He made a lasting impact on the lives of
those who knew him. He spent almost 40 years in
the ministry, 23 of those as pastor of Cedar Top
Baptist Church in Wilmore, KY. He was a masterful
preacher, a brilliant teacher, and a talented singer
for the Lord.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Pamela, his children,
DeLaina (Kenneth) Crutcher and Adrian (Kristian)
Givens; grandchildren, Aaliyah Crutcher, Ashlyn
Crutcher, Kamryn Givens and Alden Givens; siblings,
Regina Taylor, Michael (Liz) Givens, Andrew
(Veronica) Givens, Barbara Givens, Jack (Linda)
Givens, Paulette Givens, Lawrence (Melinda)
Weathers, Darryl (Heidi) Givens, and a host of
special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents Rueben and Betty Givens,
siblings, Reuben and Kenneth Givens, and his
grandmother, Helen Smith.
Service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025
at 1:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church in
Lexington, KY. Visitation service will be 11:00 am
to 1:00 pm prior to funeral service.
Rest in peace, Anthony. You will be deeply missed
by all who knew and loved you.
