Anthony Higgins Jr., affectionately known as "Squeaky", entered this world on December 5, 1976. He was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived his entire life in the city he called home.
Known for his sharp sense of style and love for the finer things in life, Anthony was never one to blend in. He had a fiery spirit and strong opinions, and he lived life boldly and unapologetically.
Though he often had strong opinions and was not afraid of a lively debate, his determination and drive were undeniable.
Anthony graduated from Washington High School and began his career as a Certified Nursing Assistant after attending Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Motivated to grow, he returned to MATC to study heating and cooling, earning an associate degree in HVAC. His education led him to a position with an LG company, and he later founded his own business, "Good Life Refrigeration". His business grew into a successful venture that reflected his ambition and work ethic. Anthony cherished his business and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His journey was one of reinvention and resilience. He carved out a path that was uniquely his, and his story stands as a testament to the power of persistence.
Anthony's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy endures in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Anthony Higgins Jr. departed this world on October 24, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wl. He was 48 years old. He was preceded in death by his cherished grandmothers, Mary Lee Street and Arverna Ashley, whom he loved dearly and who played a profound role in his life.
He is survived by his: children, Breanna Murff, Rayshawn Higgins, York Higgins, Araya Higgins, De Vyon Bowie, Hali Higgins, Heaven Higgins, Bishop Watts-Higgins, Brooklyn Watts-Higgins, Yasmir Higgins, and others; beloved mother, Gladil Higgins; devoted sisters, Nikila (Phillip) Dixon-Higgins, Chronda Higgins, and Tanya Higgins; aunts, Ella Street, Ezell Walton, and Juanita Street; uncles, Leo Street (Beatrice-deceased), Jessie Street, and WC Clark-deceased (Arlene) Willie Street; and nieces, Jasmine Dixon, Alexis Blackshire, Charisma Higgins, Ariauna Dixon, and Aniya Dixon.
Anthony formed a deep and meaningful bond with many people, but it was his Aunt Ella Street and Marlayna Snell who stood faithfully by his side, offering unwavering support and care. A special thank you to his niece and caregiver, Alexis Blackshire, for her love, dedication, and compassion throughout his journey.
A special tribute to Kara Brooks. She brought life and warmth to his life. They had an unbreakable bond and a deep love for each other. Kara provided immense comfort and strength during Anthony's most challenging times. Her presence will always be remembered with heartfelt gratitude.
Another special tribute goes to his great-niece, Jamia Gray, who stayed up with him through the long nights, feeding him, making phone calls on his behalf, and sharing countless movies together. Jamia considered him her best friend, and he was hers. Their bond was a source of immense comfort and joy, a testament to the deep love and connection they shared.
Visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM, with service at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interment at Graceland Cemetery.
