Beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sheila Wanek, passed away peacefully at her home on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Sheila was born in Two Rivers on August 9, 1966 to Dennis and Delores (Boulanger) Linzmeier. She attended schools in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1984. On October 5, 1985, she married Todd Wanek at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The couple was blessed with three children and forty years of marriage. Over the years, Sheila worked at various local businesses which included Schroeder’s, Jerry’s Bakery, and Piggly Wiggly, but found the most joy in being a stay-at-home mom, caring for her children and family.
Sheila found joy in life's simple pleasures and in the moments shared with those she loved most. She cherished every second spent with her beautiful children and grandchildren and shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Zoey, who was always by her side.
Her happiest times were those filled with laughter-playing Yahtzee or Scrabble with her husband, working on puzzles, or gathering around a campfire. Sheila especially loved the holiday season and enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies with her family. In spring, the scent of lilacs always brought a smile to her face.
Sheila also found joy in the little things, like seeing the "typing bubbles" appear on her phone while texting-knowing a loved one was just about to reach out.
Survivors include her husband, Todd Wanek; three children, Nicole (Adam) Wachowski of Two Rivers, Brian (Laura) Wanek of Appleton, Aly (Derick) Blake of Manitowoc; her beloved grandchildren: Harper, Kyler, Baker, and Greta; and her father, Dennis Linzmeier of Two Rivers. She is further survived by her siblings: Ron (Cheryl) Linzmeier, Cheryl (John) Casavant, Lou Ann Linzmeier, Scott (Lana) Linzmeier, and Brenda (Kevin) Shillcox; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Lee (Sandy) Wanek, and Kay Bauer; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Linzmeier; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Jerome “JJ” and Vivian Wanek.
