Found peace on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the age of 92. Caring husband of Kathy for 27 years. Loving father of Troy (Deanne) Wanek, Amy (the late Gregory) Burmeister, Jay (Karen) Wanek and Cory Wanek. Step-father of Rich (Kim) Pearson. Grandfather of Kevin and Sean Wanek, Brittany Simonson, Keely (Eric) Bruni, Megan (Kyrllos) Farag, Molly (Dan) Zavala, Jason (Tori) Wanek, Joshua Wanek and Marie Wanek. Great-grandfather of Melanie, Ilias and Asher. Brother of the late Gerald (Joyce) Wanek. Uncle of Brian (Karen) Wanek and Brad (Alicia) Wanek. Special cousin of the late Ralph Wilke and Nancy Grimm. Further survived by his former wife, Nancy Hoke, other relatives and friends.
Bob was a Budget Analyst for the Milwaukee County Parks System. He was a long time and passionate Statistician//Score Keeper for many sports teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks and Indy Car racing.
Visitation at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 6705 Northway, Greendale, WI, on Friday, June 27 from 5-6:45 PM. Funeral Service at 7 PM. Private interment at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the MACC Fund, https://maccfund.org/donation/, appreciated.
