A Life Well Lived! A Promise Is A Promise
The Embarkation
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. -Jeremiah 1:5 KJV
An angelic aperture of the heavens made way for the birth of Apostle Anthony Darnell Hutt, affectionately known by family and friends as Darnell. Born to the late Annie Mae Hutt, on June 24, 1955, Apostle Hutt was born and raised in Somerset County, Maryland. Educated in the Somerset County public school system, he graduated from Washington High School in 1973. He then furthered his education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Salisbury State University and he later received his Doctor of Divinity from the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Orlando, FL. God crafted with focused intention and divine will and decided to mold as clay – a spiritual leader among the masses.
The Extraction
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. -Isaiah 43:1 KJV
Apostle Hutt was called out from the common, into a life of extraordinary service and duty. Cut from the sacred cloth of Christ, God carefully appointed him as a leader, a man of dignity, stellar character, and a shepherd for his people, touching the lives of thousands for over a half century.
The Emergence
Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established. -Proverbs 24:3 KJV
Down through the years, Apostle Hutt established churches in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Delaware, North Carolina, and Georgia. Later, he became the founder and Senior Prelate of Victory International Covenant Churches. He had been highlighted on TBN, ministered in over 40 states and cities in the U.S. and in Jamaica and the Bahamas. He received citations and proclamations from the state of Maryland and preached in every major denomination and organization. As a community advocate, he preached in jails and prisons across the states and conducted services from time to time at Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI) and Poplar Hill Pre-Release Center, where hundreds of young men gave their lives to Christ. He also hosted a broadcast on WDVA Radio Station in Danville, VA called "You Are Next In Line For a Miracle." During the COVID pandemic, Apostle Hutt continued to spread the gospel by starting an online ministry called FaceBook Live, holding weekly services on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Through his FaceBook Live ministry, he established Feed the Homeless ministry in Wilmington, DE. Also, established out of the ministry was the Thanksgiving and Christmas giveaways for families in need and the annual Black History/Unsung Hero/Soul Food dinner program, to celebrate locals in his hometown and surrounding areas. His love for family, friends and communities and his entrepreneurial skills led him to open community gathering spots like Campus Corner in Princess Anne, MD and Annie Mae's restaurant in Danville, VA.
The Ennoblement
For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. -Psalm 75:6 NKJV
Elevated to the esteemed role of Apostle, he demonstrated exemplary and unwavering commitment to spiritual and organizational leadership. Apostle Hutt was a best-selling author of the following books: "A Promise Is A Promise", "Saul Started Out Right" and "Is Anything Too Hard For The Lord." He also created and moderated several leadership workshops for churches around the world.
His testimony and prophetic mantel put him in great demand. He recently celebrated 50 years in ministry.
The Emancipation
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. -Isaiah 60:1 KJV
His lessons, love, and legacy are cherished by: his sisters, Janet Armwood, Shirley Hutt and sister-in-law Olivia Hutt; a host of nieces and nephews; numerous God Children and Grand-Children; a Spiritual Mother, Apostle Margaret Johnson; a best cousin/partner in crime, Alverta Polk (Sugarbabe); a special cousin/sister/confidant, Patricia A. Moses (Ms. Ann); an adopted sister, Linda Taylor and adopted niece, Dr. Terra Taylor; two Spiritual Grandsons, William Calvin Jefferson, Jr. and Derrick Johnson and a host of cherished friends, fellow laborers in ministry and all believers who were impacted by Apostle Hutt's profound words of wisdom.
Apostle Hutt was preceded in death by: his sisters, Ruth Fisher and Vanessa Hutt-Allen; brothers, Alfred and Charles Hutt; brothers-in-law, Robert Fisher and Alvin Armwood (Hoss) and sister-in-law Mary Hutt.
Rest in eternal peace, Apostle Hutt, for your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts. May you hear the sound from heaven as God has proclaimed Well done, thy good and faithful servant!
