Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals Inc. on Nov. 29, 2025.
Anthony R. Intelli, known affectionately as Tony by his loved ones, passed away peacefully at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel on November 26, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on May 12, 1959, in Jersey City, Tony was a cherished lifelong resident of Keansburg, where he built a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.
From his early years, Tony's kind nature and resilient spirit were evident to all who knew him. He was the son of the late Theodore G. and Rosemary Intelli Sr., and though he was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Thomas and Michael Intelli, Tony's legacy is carried on through his adored family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 24 years, Margaret Intelli of Keansburg, who was his steadfast companion and partner in all of life's adventures.
Tony's memory will be treasured by his two sons, Daniel Slover and his fiancée Michelle Cunha of Linden, and Christopher and his life partner, Dario Martinez of Hazlet; his daughter and son-in-law, Tara and James Simcox of Keansburg; his brothers, Theodore Intelli Jr. and George Intelli, both of Florida, and Gerard and Sandra Intelli of Belford; his sisters, Sherry Ann and Jeffrey Kruse of Middletown, and Anastasia Reynolds of Keansburg. His sisters-in-law, Theresa Intelli of South Carolina, and Michelle Slover and, her life partner, Eric Buck of Middletown, will also hold his memory dear. Tony's joyful spirit will live on through his seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who were all touched by his generosity and warmth.
Tony was a hardworking man, spending many years behind the wheel as a truck driver before joining the team at Academy Bus as a custodian. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and friendly presence, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word. His work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were among the many attributes that earned him respect and admiration from those who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Tony was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the melodies of Alice Cooper, watching old movies, the meticulous process of working on car models, and the creative outlet of drawing. His heart of gold was most evident in the time he spent with his family and close friends. Tony's ability to cherish the small moments, to find happiness in the everyday, was a lesson he imparted to all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
As we say goodbye to Tony, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man beloved by many, and the countless memories that will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who knew him. Anthony R. Intelli was a beacon of kindness in our world, and his legacy of love and generosity will endure in the hearts of his family and friends forever. In keeping with Tony's wishes he will be privately cremated.
