Dorothy Faller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals Inc. on Dec. 5, 2025.
Dorothy Faller, 100, of Keansburg. She was born 12/17/1924 in Neptune. Dot was a true inspiration who was loved dearly. She lived by the motto "Don't let the grass grow under your feet".

Dot went to Neptune High School where she met Henry Faller in 1940, graduated in 1942 and married Henry in 1946 and lived in Neptune. Dorothy worked in Fort Monmouth camp Evans in 1943 until her and Henry adopted their son Gregory T. Faller in 1957. Shortly after they welcomed their son Ronald H Faller in 1958 they lived all around Neptune. In 1967 they moved to Toms River.

At the age of 65, Dorothy started volunteering at the senior center in Toms River teaching an exercising class and filling in to teach the Yoga class. Dorothy also sat on the board at the senior center. She was a woman of many talents and enjoyed bowling from 1950-1960. Sadly Henry passed away in 2016. Dorothy decided to move to Keansburg to be closer to her sons. In September 2016 Dorothy started volunteering at Project Paul located in Keansburg, 3 days a week for several years until her health started declining in 2025, she then worked 2 days a week.

Everywhere Dorothy went she lit up a room. Everyone that met her loved her immediately. Dorothy was always up for anything she always wanted to be on the move. She loved her family so much and loved to be around them as much as possible. Dorothy leaves behind her two sons and daughter-in-law, Gregory T Faller, Barbara A Faller, and Ronald H. Faller, 3 grandchildren Mandy Strauss her significant other Shane Delaney, Shannon Terry her husband Steve Terry, Shawn VanSant and his wife Melanie VanSant. 8 great grandchildren who called her "Gigi" Michaela, Gabriella, Skylar, Patrick, Luke, Scarlett, Peyton and Summer. She will truly be missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, December 7th, from 2-6 at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Concluding funeral service at 5:30pm. Cremation will be private.
