Obituary published on Legacy.com by Merit Memorial Funeral & Cremation Care - Dallas on Oct. 1, 2025.
Anthony Lee Jones, affectionately known as Tony. Tony was born to the late Ather Lee Jones and Mae Francis Nash-Jones on May 21, 1958, in Little Rock, AR. Tony transitioned on August 11, 2024, at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in
Dallas, Texas with family at bedside. A man of unparalleled charisma and an unyielding spirit, Tony was a beacon of joy with an infectious smile.
Tony's life journey was a testament to his strength and independence. Though he was never employed, he lived a rich and fulfilling life. Tony's sheer determination and unbroken spirit echoed the words of resilience and strength. If Anthony ever told you, "I like you", he felt safe and trusted you. Tony loved music, and the first thing he would do while riding in the car would be to turn on the radio. He never went anywhere without his radio in his hand or his pocket. He loved his "My Buddy". Tony loved riding in trucks with his brother (Allen) and brother-in-love (Jeff), and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Ather Lee Jones and Mae Francis Nash-Jones, Reginald Hughes (brother) and Carl Nash (Uncle). Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memory to Keith Jones (Sharon), and Michael Jones (Tracey) both from Little Rock, Arkansas; Karen Jones and Cherise Jones (Jeffery) both from Allen, Texas, and Phillip Jones of Germany. He is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and his Community Life Services family.
Tony may have been solitary in the context of marital and professional engagement, but he was filled with the love of his family members and by the staff and clients at Community Life Services.
We invite all who knew and loved Tony to leave memories and upload photos to his memorial page. This will serve as a lasting tribute to Tony's legacy and the testament to the power of resilience and the strength of the human spirit.
[A Note of Gratitude]
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our dedicated family and friends that have gathered to celebrate Anthony's life. The memory of your prayers, visits, calls, cards, messages, flowers and other acts of thoughtfulness, have certainly eased the pain. We shall remain eternally grateful to each one, individually and collectively.
