In the Words of Anthony L. Kaisler
"Tony, Cousins called me Leroy.
Born November 16, 1936 in Springfield, MO. Greene County, in a bedroom on the farm on East Pythian Street, where I later as a child grew up.
I loved helping people, I felt that I never done enough but done all I could. I felt that I was generous with money and things to help people. I picked up aluminum cans on the roadside to help Habitat for Humanity, picked up usable clothing and things and donated them to the Victory Mission Thrift Shop.
I had a soft spot in my heart for poor people and the ones who were down and out. Probably because I grew up poor.
I loved camping, hunting, fishing, target shooting, and spending time with wife Lora.
I had 5 children from a previous marriage. 3 sons, 2 daughters, and several grand kids.
I served in the U.S Marine Corps Reserve for 18 months, U.S Air Force for 4 years, and U.S Navy for 16 years; Retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. I retired on 15 Dec 1976. I lived in Bath and Brunswick Maine for 7 years and worked at U.S Gypsum Co. Lisbon Falls, Maine and later Bath Iron Works as a welder building Navy ships and others.
I loved the outdoors and loved riding my ATV.
I visited many places while in the Air Force and Navy including Italy, France, Germany, Turkey, Sicily, Denmark, Malta, Spain, Jamaica, Haiti, Virgin Islands, Bermuda, etc.
I always believed a person could do anything they set their mind to. If they really wanted to accomplish something and it was a real burning desire, it could be done. A person can literally move mountains if they want to.
I read the Bible daily along with several devotionals, loved going to church and loved Crossway Baptist.
I always appreciated my salvation and thanked God many times for sending his son Jesus to die for a sinner like me. I always knew what I had because for many years I followed the way of the world. Sin has a lot of comfortability to it.
I always loved the country and that's why my final resting place is out at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on West Division.
I always said if no one liked me at least little kids and dogs did. They were always friendly to me.
P.S: Tony was preceded in death by my parents Anthony Kaisler and Emma E Kaisler. I was an avid reader; enjoyed reading the Bible and all kinds of books, especially novels about WW2 and the Civil War.
Also I loved all kinds of music, especially Gospel music, Easy Listening, I loved Chet Atkins."
