Anthony Mabry

Anthony Mabry, age 58, of Morehead, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Baptist Health in Lexington, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 25, 1967, in Rowan County, he is the son of Clyde R. Mabry and Bernice L. Prince Mabry of Morehead.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Charlie Tyra; two special nieces, Amber Murphy and husband Logan and Andrea Thomas and husband Tyler; and one great-nephew, Mason Murphy, all of Mt. Sterling, as well as extended family, church family, and many friends who will cherish his memory.

Anthony was a faithful member of Sharkey Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and was passionate about sharing the Gospel. A 1986 graduate of Rowan County High School, he formerly worked for Sealmaster and Farmers Elementary School.

Anthony loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a true warrior for God and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Logan Murphy, Tyler Thomas, Greg Adkins, Ray Stevens, Terry Barker, and Bobby Tackett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Tyra, Steve Barker, Byron Mabry, Stuart Read, Donald Moore, and Charlie Rister.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
