Anthony Marrocco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. on Sep. 3, 2025.
Anthony (Antonino/Tony) Marrocco, a longtime resident of Eastchester, passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend.

Born on August 22, 1932, in Veroli, Frosinone, Tony was the son of Luigi and Anna (Paniccia) Marrocco. In March 1961, he immigrated from Italy to the United States in pursuit of a better life, settling in Eastchester, where he would soon meet the love of his life. On October 6, 1962, Ada (Cristini) and Tony were married at the Assumption Church, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and dedication.

He was the beloved husband of Ada, loving father to Anna Marie (Robert) and Linda (Robert), and proud Nonno to Robbie and Gianna. He is also survived by his dear sisters Lidia of Veroli, Italy; Valentina of Eastchester, NY; Anna of Toronto, Canada; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Giuseppe and sister Rita, both of Veroli.

Tony was a hardworking entrepreneur who ran a successful painting and wallpapering business for over 35 years. He was admired not only for his work ethic but also for his joyful spirit, quick wit, and warm heart.

A true gardener at heart, Tony found immense joy in tending to his bountiful garden filled with tomatoes, cucumbers, string beans, garlic, figs, and chicory, surrounded by apple and pear trees. He also loved deer and turkey hunting, watching soccer and baseball, playing bocce, reading his Bottom Line, and taking scenic shortcuts on his drives.

Tony will be remembered most for his laughter, his generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be profoundly missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held at Westchester Funeral Home on Friday, September 5th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Church, 100 Pleasant Avenue, Tuckahoe, NY, on Saturday, September 6th, at 10:30 AM, with interment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care and A & J Home Care for their exceptional compassion and support during Tony's final months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anthony's name to Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care.
