Paul Marrocco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home - Braintree on May 16, 2025.
Paul A. Marrocco, of Kennebunkport, ME, formerly of Braintree, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, in the arms of his loving wife, on May 13, 2025, in Maine. Born on July 15, 1956, in Medford, Paul's life was a testament to the enduring power of hard work, family, and joy in simple pleasures.
The son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Bateman) Marrocco, Paul carried the torch of his parents' values throughout his life. He found his angel in Suzanne (Son) Marrocco, and together they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Paul was a beloved husband, whose devotion to Suzanne was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing them.
A loving father, Paul's legacy is carried on through his children, Anthony Marrocco and his wife Katie of NH, Michael Marrocco and his wife Holly of Quincy, and Rachel Walsh and her husband Brian of Weymouth. He instilled in them the virtues of integrity, passion, and kindness. His role as "Chief" to his adored grandchildren, Santino, Gianna, Mia, Sophia, Chloe, and Shayla, was one he held with great pride and immense joy.
Paul's love extended to his siblings, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He was a devoted brother to Fred Marrocco and his wife Peg of NH, Cheryl Carrigan and her husband David of Tewksbury, Billy Marrocco and his wife Fran of Pepperell, and Charlotte Marrocco - Mohler and her husband Scott of NH. His presence as a supportive and caring brother was a constant source of comfort and strength to his family.
A graduate of Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica, MA, Paul's education laid the foundation for his successful career. As the owner and operator of Marrocco Partners, he built a reputation for excellence in the building and development industry. He was a Master Carpenter who built countless homes fulfilling people's dreams. He was proud to serve the community participating in Habitat for Humanity projects. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to own and operate Rock Enterprises, a gravel pit in Maine, where he found great satisfaction in his work.
Paul's interests were as vast as his heart. He enjoyed woodworking in his wood shop for business and for pleasure. He loved operating the heavy equipment at his gravel pit, sharing this passion with his children and grandchildren. His home in Maine was his sanctuary, where he relished in driving his golf cart around town and hosting memorable gatherings, especially during the holidays. Family traditions were the cornerstone of Paul's life, and he upheld them with fervor and love.
As a dedicated hockey coach and team manager for many years, Paul influenced many young lives through his involvement with the kids' youth and junior hockey teams. His love for sports extended to being an ardent fan of the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots, celebrating their triumphs with the same passion he brought to every aspect of his life.
Paul was a man who loved to travel, exploring new places with a sense of adventure and curiosity. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. The words that best describe Paul are loving, kind, and generous. These qualities shone brightly through his every action and the warm, welcoming smile that greeted everyone he met.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 19th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. Dear Susie and family,

I was saddened by the news of Paul's passing. I was friends with Paul during our teenage years and have wonderful memories from that time. Paul was the most generous, big-hearted person - kind to everyone. I still live in the well-built, beautiful house he built for my family and me. I hope your cherished memories help you through this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Jeanne (MacDonald) Holbrook

Sorry to hear of Paul´s passing . I had the privilege to play with Paul on the 1973 and 74 hockey teams. Paul was a fierce competitor and was one of the reasons we went to our first state tourney in school history. enclosing a picture on the 74 team.
