Anthony R. Massey

Anthony R. "Tony" Massey, 51, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, died late Tuesday evening, Nov. 19, 2024, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township, after being suddenly stricken at home. He was the husband of Dana M. Montoya-Massey since Oct. 12, 2006.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Raymond B. and Margaret B. (Scholander) Massey.

Tony was currently employed as a business manager for the United Parcel Service, Stroudsburg. He was also owner/operator of My Store, Red Wing Shoes & Boots, Carhartt Apparel, Palmerton, along with the Palmerton Flower and Gift Shop.

A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, he also volunteered as president of the St. John Neumann Regional School HSA.

Tony was also a proud active mentor of Super Human Fathers, CA.

Surviving in addition to his widow are daughters, Valentina M. and Isabella M., both at home; sons, Blake R. and his wife, Angel, of Fort Worth, TX, Jake L. of Kansas City, KS, and Giovanni E. Massey, Dominic A. and Maximus F.T., all at home; a grandson, Hayden; a sister, Donna M., wife of Kevin Kozovich of Huntington Beach, CA; brothers, John P. Massey and his wife, Jessica, of Seattle, WA, Christopher J. and Vincent J., both of Huntington Beach, CA, and Michael A. in Pennsylvania; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca T. Massey-Ake', who died this past January.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Future interment private. No calling hours. Holy Rosary recitation 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in church. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.
