Anthony McGeehan Obituary

Anthony J. "Antz" McGeehan, age 53, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 1, 2025, in St. Luke's Miners Coaldale.

 Born on December 10, 1971, in Coaldale, he was the beloved son of the late Maurice W. and Marie E. (Hartranft) McGeehan. Antz was also predeceased by his sister Marie Pfeil.

A devoted husband to his wife, Mary Grace (Difabio) McGeehan, Anthony's warmth and affection were evident to all who knew him. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Samantha McGeehan of Pittsburgh, and his sons, Jonathan Houser and Anthony Houser and his companion Jillian Shellhamer. He also leaves behind cherished memories with his siblings: Maurice McGeehan and his wife Sharima, Clarence E. "Beetle" McGeehan and his companion Jinky Guntrum, John D. McGeehan and his companion, Sherry Colon, as well as sister, Mary E., wife of Stephen Karpa. Many nieces and nephews also survive Antz.

In addition to his immediate family, Anthony is survived by his grandchildren: Memphis, Nova, Embrye, Austin, Alexa, Avery, and Aydrian, as well as his great-granddaughter, Oakley. 

His legacy will live on through the love he instilled in them and the memories they shared.

Anthony took great joy in life, often expressing himself through his passions, which included cooking, golfing, and participating in the Tamaqua pool and dart league. His skills as a carpenter were evident in his self-employed work, and he was a respected member of his community.

Friends and family may call on Monday evening December 8, 2025 at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
