Hildegard McGeehan (nee Gabriel) of Upper Southampton passed away peacefully in her sleep, September 21, 2025 at the age of 86.
Hildegard is the beloved wife of James McGeehan whom she shared decades of love with.
Born in Reichenberg, Germany on August 22, 1939 to the late Willi and Wilma Gabriel, Hildegard always remembered her childhood fondly. At a young age her family moved from Germany to The United States of America, where Hildegard spent the rest of her life building her beautiful family.
Hildegard, a longtime resident of Warminster, began her career as an educator for the Council Rock School District. Following her lengthy career in Council Rock, Hildegard became an Educational Consultant for Authentic Education and McTighe & Associates, LLC where she travelled throughout the world sharing new ideas in classroom management, and teaching for understanding.
After many years of hard work, Hildegard and James quietly retired to Southampton Estates of Upper Southampton Township. Always one for getting involved, Hildegard quickly engaged with the community of neighbors and residents she shared the estates with. Hildegard, an accomplished pianist, learned to play the organ for the church services held weekly at Southampton Estates.
Hildegard was a friend to all and loved by many. She had a smile and personality that felt familiar and warm. While her career was fulfilling, there was no greater accomplishment than her children, her grandchildren, and her home.
