On August 20, 1961, Anthony Vincent McLeod, Sr. was born to Willie Lee and Willie B. McLeod in Memphis, TN. The Lord called him to be with HIM on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Anthony gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended Longview Community Holiness Church most of his life. There, he became a musical genius, learning to play drums (his favorite) and other instruments. He was faithful to God at Perpetual Praise until he departed his earthy home.
On January 26, 1986, Anthony married Linda Kay Walton. Along with this beautiful union, God blessed them to be parents to Darnisha McLeod, Anthony McLeod, Jr., Cellie McLeod, Mercedes McLeod and Anthonio Walton.
Anthony had many occupations over the years. He worked for ConAgra Foods for over 10 years and at Nike for 5 years until his health failed. He loved to travel all over, even taking his family on various vacations to many different places. He enjoyed dining at the finest restaurants, as well as listening to all types of music. He also had a passion and a love for playing drums.
He is preceded in death by Corena McKay and Vera McLeod.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, his wife of 37 years, Linda K. McLeod; children, Darnisha McLeod, Anthony (Mary) McLeod, Jr., Cellie McLeod, Mercedes (Kenyon) McLeod and Antonio Walton; his parents, Willie Lee and Willie B. McLeod; ten grandchildren, Antanisha (Dontavious), Kamron, Anthony (A.C.), Zakaria, Aja, Bailey, ZaKarious, Ky'ri, Ky'Za and Ky'lynn; three sisters, Noble (Bennie, Jr.) Brooks, Carlynn (Michael, Sr.) Alexander and Tatina Butler; a brother, Gerald (Shatece) McLeod and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
