Anthony Ronald Musolino

Anthony R. Musolino, died on May 4, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington. He was born on June 25, 1929 in Manhattan New York to the late Domenick and Catherine,
(Sommacal), Musolino. His life's journey was completed in his 95 th year.
His formative years were spent in northern Ontario, Canada under the guidance of his beloved Uncle and Aunt, (the late Fredrick and Gertrude, (Lorenz) Sommacal. Returning to New York in the midst of WWII, he decided to dedicate his life to the service of his country, joining the US Army in 1946. Over a distinguished career of 21 years he was stationed in Japan, Germany, Vietnam, as well as multiple posts in the US. Retiring from Ft. Belvoir, VA he continued his career at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the US Department of Agriculture.
After retiring from Government Service he engaged in multiple entrepreneurial endeavors including crafting, (jewelry making, cypress wood working and others). During this time he lived in Burke, VA and later in Broadway, VA. Moving to Hampstead in 1988 he became intimately involved in the cultural and political life of the community. Over time he became more and more active in the Wilmington Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Tony was very proud of his service in Vietnam and was determined to help all of those who served as well. He became an accredited claims agent of the Veterans Administration, and helped countless veterans over a distinguished career, continuing his work in his office up to a few weeks before his end.
Tony is predeceased by his parents, his daughter Margaret Rose and his brother Anthony. He is survived by his beloved wife of forty four years, Deborah Lynn (Jones), his sons Ronald (Pam) and Peter, his Grandsons Anthony, David (Bridget) and Steven (Virginia), as well as nine Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hampstead United Methodist Church at 10:00AM on Saturday May 25 th services will begin at 11:00 and internment will be on the Church grounds.
