Anthony Papa Obituary
Born on March 4, 1991, in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Frank Papa and Mary Beth Farnan Papa.
Anthony, an alumnus of Gloversville High School, was known for his sense of humor and athleticism. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Minnesota Vikings and relished his time playing softball. Basketball seasons were spent passionately supporting the Chicago Bulls. Above all, the joy of his life was spending time with his beloved son, "Little Anthony."
In addition to his parents, Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony C. Papa, whom he loved more than anything in the world, and his son's mother, Raquel Zabawczuk; his sister, Jacqueline Strouse (Bryan); paternal grandparents, Jack and Maureen Papa, maternal grandfather, Thomas Farnan; nephew, Luca Strouse and a soon to be niece; as well as an uncle, Joe Papa (Kathi); aunts, Colleen Farnan (Dave) and Regina Papa (Fred), along with several cousins.
Anthony is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary Farnan.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
Memorial donations in Anthony's memory may be made to the Addictions Care Center of Albany, 90 McCarty Avenue, Albany, NY, 12202, where Anthony had worked to help others after being a patient there himself.
