Gowanda: Anthony "Tony", "Ed" P. Pecora Jr., 62, of Gowanda, died Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Peekskill on April 19, 1963, the son of the late Anthony Pecora, Sr. and Fay (Strosser) Carmelitano. Tony/Ed grew up in the Peekskill & Dover Plains area and he enjoyed Mets baseball, watching football, loved ice cream, pizza and watching his grandkids grow up.
Surviving is his loving wife of 36 years, Susan (Mauceri) Pecora of Gowanda, whom he married on July 1, 1989 in Beacon, NY and was the beloved father of Krystal (Paul) Aydelotte and Anthony Pecora, III. He has two sisters Debra (Patrick) Hurley, Sharon (Robert) Payntar Gladman, and a brother Luke (Dukie) Payntar, Jr. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Jacob & Olivia Aydelotte and Cameron & Savannah Pecora, nieces & nephews; Jacqueline (Ben) Hurley Wassell, Jessica Hurley, Patrick Hurley III, Janine (Robert) Rosenthal Potter, Brittany Rosenthal and Christian & Brandon Gladman, great nieces & nephews; Brooke, Jayden, Amelia & Julianna Wassell, Bentley Miller, Noah, PJ & John Allevato, George & Rose Potter, Cameron, Natalia, Jordan & Josiah Smith, the Payntar puppies and his childhood Best Friend David & Diane Rodrigues. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his stepfathers Luke Payntar, Sr. and Joseph Carmelitano, many aunts & uncles on the Pecora & Eichler side along with his grandma Frances & Norma Strosser.
Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in St. Dennis's Cemetery, Fishkill, NY.
