Anthony "Tony" Peter Piccirilli, 83, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025 at his home in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, surrounded by family. He was born in the Bronx, New York, to Peter and Elena "Lilly" Piccirilli. Tony was a hardworking man whose family was his first priority. He was a devoted husband to Rosemary "Judy", his loving wife of 63 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Tony was a master mechanic in heating and air conditioning, a long-standing member of the UA Pipefitters Local 274, and mentor to many apprentices during his 40+ year career. He and his wife raised their family in Waldwick, NJ and were members of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Ho-ho-kus, NJ. Upon Tony's retirement they moved to Big Bass Lake in Gouldsboro, PA. He enjoyed fishing from Maine to Florida with his children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and his good buddy, Jack. Tony was a ham radio operator, horror movie buff and a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. A lifelong train enthusiast, he often recalled childhood memories of the New York Central trainyard where his father was a foreman, and constructed intricate model train layouts throughout his life. Tony enthusiastically anticipated and embraced the dawn of home computers, spending many hours helping friends and neighbors set up their own.
He loved spending time with his family and always enjoyed a good pinochle game with his in-laws, Pat, Nick, Nick Jr. and Mike Franco.
Tony is survived by his wife Rosemary "Judy" Piccirilli; his daughter Lisa Gole and son-in-law Thomas Gole, son Anthony Piccirilli Jr. and daughter-in-law Dawn Winters Piccirilli; grandchildren Daniel Gole, Michael Gole, and Eliza Piccirilli and many cherished nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph (Peggy) Piccirilli and his sister Dorothy (Jimmy) D'Agostino.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Alphonsus Church in Wexford, PA, at 10 am on April 29th, 2025.
