Anthony J. Proper Jr passed away suddenly at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, N. Y. on September 6, 2024.
Anthony was born in Catskill, N.Y. and lived in Athens, N.Y. Anthony worked for many years at Rainbow Painting where he was able to cultivate a very special bond with his boss and friend Albert Salvino. Anthony loved being an outdoorsman who found immense joy in hunting and fishing. His love for nature was infectious, and he shared his favorite pastimes with his many beloved nieces, nephews and family friends. Many fond memories were created at local fishing derbies, where Anthony's enthusiasm and patience made every outing an adventure. When he wasn't casting a line or hunting something Anthony loved being with his dogs Bear and Bandit, who meant so much to him, their bonds were unbreakable.
Anthony is survived by his father Anthony J. Proper Sr. and his mother Tami L. Proper, brother Jason and sister Amanda, niece Nevaeh Rain and great nephew Roman Anthony, and far too many close friends that became family to mention.
We would like to give everyone who made Anthony's transition to God our heartfelt thanks. No words can express how thankful we are for the support we were given.
To our son Anothony, we will miss your everlasting smile that touched all who knew you.
