Anthony J. Ricci

Anthony J. Ricci of Fleming Island, FL passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, July 15, 1947, to the late Salvatore and Nancy Ricci. Anthony, aka Tony or AJ to his family and friends, proudly served in the US navy as an aviation mechanic. Following his honorable discharge, he became an acclaimed professional Surveyor graduating from Lake City Community College with an Associate of Science in Forestry-Forest Ranger School. He worked for various surveying companies around town and Barco-Duval before retiring from Eiland and Associates in Orange Park. He enjoyed teaching others his trade to help them in their career. He loved spending time with his family, camping and enjoying the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Ricci. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Ricci of 55 years, his son Shane Ricci, two grandchildren Nathan and Blake Ricci, several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law whom he loved deeply. He also leaves behind many caregivers who have been devoted to him during his illness.
Funeral services will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Chapel, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. At the graveside military honors will be conferred by the U.S. Navy.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you please donate to your favorite charity (or one of his favorites) in memory of A.J. Ricci. He was very passionate about giving to others. A few of his favorites were: Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors, Florida Sheriffs association, Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters and American Red Cross.
