Anthony Rossi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Jan. 11, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) Rossi, 98, who died peacefully on December 21, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Tony will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his warm nature, and his wonderful sense of humor. His legacy of unconditional love lives on in all who knew him.
Born on September 14, 1927, in Kearny, N.J., Tony was the son of Angelo and Maria Rossi, who emigrated from Colledimacine, Italy, in the early 1900s. He was predeceased by his five brothers: Joseph (Joe), Agostino (Gus), Fedele, Albert, and Alfred (Fred).
During the Korean War, Tony served with the 45th Infantry Division in Japan and Korea. He loved sharing stories from his service, including his favorite-receiving a speeding ticket while driving supplies across the base. "Yes, I'm very proud of it," he would joke.
In 1957, Tony married his beloved wife, Ann, and together they raised three children: Ann Marie, Anthony, and David. While starting his family and working full-time, Tony studied accounting at Fairleigh Dickinson University, attending night and weekend classes. After earning his degree, he went on to work for the New Jersey Department of Labor, where he dedicated 35 years of service.
Tony cherished time spent in Atlantic City, traveling with Ann to New York City to attend the theater, and visiting Walt Disney World with his family. At home, he could often be found in the kitchen preparing homemade sauce or cheering on the New York Giants.
In his later years, Tony enjoyed visiting casinos, trading stocks, completing daily sudoku puzzles, playing games, dining out with his family, and savoring his favorite treat-Napoleon dessert.
He took great pride in maintaining his independence and driving until the age of 96. Above all, Tony loved his family deeply and always put their needs before his own.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the spring of 2026 at Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in North Arlington, N.J., with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, also in North Arlington.
Tony is survived by his wife, Ann Rossi (née Nuzer); his sons Anthony (Celia) Rossi and David (Diana) Rossi; his grandchildren Sue (Andy) Newsom, Amanda Rossi, and Matt (Faith) Rossi; and his great-grandchildren Lexi Newsom, Cam Newsom, and Gus Rossi. He was immensely proud of each of them.
