87, of Johnston passed away peacefully on Thursday August 15 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was beloved husband of Virginia A (Pezza) Squizzero for 61 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Frances Squizzero.
Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from URI and an MBA from Bryant University. Anthony retired from Verizon after 30 years of service.
In 2005 Anthony being the selfless and generous man that he was and being an active member for several years mentoring young boys, had the honor of being awarded “Big Brother of The Year”. He was also very active in local recreational sports,especially Hockey which led him to serve on the board for the State Youth Hockey Association as Secretary.
Anthony’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in many lives he touched. Above all his greatest joy was his family.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, Kristin F. Squizzero and her husband Larry Salvucci of MA, Anthony Squizzero Jr. and his wife Brenda (Souliere) Squizzero of Westport, MA. his cherished grandchildren Madison and Nicole Squizzero. His dear siblings, Robert,William, Richard Squizzero and Corinne Ruscito along with several nieces and nephews. He was also a dear brother of the late Michael Squizzero, Doris Pallotta, Alba Capricci and Dolores Grande.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his mass of Christian burial on Tuesday September 3, 2024, 11:00AM Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
