Anthony Stella II Obituary Anthony Stella, II, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in
Orange, California, on June 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 18, 1966, in Lynwood, California, Anthony's life was a testament to his intelligence, passion, and the quiet strength that defined him.
Anthony grew up in Orange, where he attended La Purisima Catholic School and graduated from Mater Dei High School. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Cal State Fullerton, where he furthered his education and laid the groundwork for a remarkable career. Anthony became a certified Microsoft Software Engineer and dedicated over 34 years to his vocation as an information technology consultant. His expertise and analytical mind made him a respected figure in his field and among his colleagues.
A true Renaissance man, Anthony was renowned for his exceptional talents, particularly in the realm of technology. He was a genuine information technology genius, possessing an innate ability to understand and manipulate the digital world with ease. His family, coming from a musical background, instilled in him a love for the arts, and Anthony shone as the bass guitarist in a local band aptly named "Just Because." His peers affectionately nicknamed him Flea, a nod to his impressive guitar skills that echoed the prowess of the famous Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist. His musical curiosity encouraged his brother John to pursue a successful and notable career in music as well.
Anthony's interests extended beyond music and computers. He was an avid gamer, a hobby that allowed him to explore virtual worlds with the same curiosity and depth he approached all his interests. He loved watching sports on TV, especially NFL and college football, and NHL games, especially the LA Kings.
His hands were skilled in more than just strumming and typing; he was the family's go-to fixer for anything from plumbing to electrical work, flooring to car repairs. Anthony's mind worked in miraculous ways, solving problems with a blend of analytical thought and creative ingenuity.
His love for his family was immeasurable. Anthony relished the time spent with his parents, Jeanne and Joe Stella; his sisters, Mary and her husband David Monk, Teresa and her husband Jason Buelna; and his brothers, Phil and his wife Cherill Stella, John and his wife Victorya. He also held a special place in his heart for his two nephews, Gavin and Nathan, and his five nieces, Sophia, Bobbie, Alyssa, Stella and Mazzy, with whom he shared a special relationship and had a hand in shaping her young life.
An accomplished chef, Anthony's culinary skills were another avenue for his creativity. Inspired by cooking shows, he delighted in preparing sumptuous meals for his family, with his barbecue being particularly legendary-meat so tender it fell off the bone, a testament to his patience and care.
Though his nature was quiet, Anthony's presence was a calming force in the vibrant chaos of family life. He was never the cause but always a part of the joyful noise, providing balance and serenity. His intelligence, analytical prowess, and passionate soul left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Anthony Stella, II, lived a life rich with love, learning, and discovery. His legacy is one of quiet strength, unwavering courage, and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends for generations to come.
