Anthony Tarul Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care - Palm Bay on Feb. 23, 2026.
Anthony "Diggie" Tarul, 81, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on February 19th, 2025.

Born on October 14, 1944, in the Bronx, New York, Anthony lived a life defined by devotion to family, faith, selfless sacrifice, and a warm spirit that made everyone feel at home.

Anthony spent the majority of his professional career at JPMorgan Bank, where he served as a Loan Officer for nearly 25 years, reflecting the same reliability and commitment he brought to every part of his life.

He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 57 years, Leatrice (Amato) Tarul. Their love and partnership were the foundation that the Tarul family was built upon over the next three generations. He is also survived by his son, Nicholas Tarul; his four grandchildren, Gabrielle DeLellis, Daniel DeLellis (Regina), Anthony DeLellis (Taylor), and Brianna Tarul; and his two great-grandchildren, Franco and Olivia DeLellis. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were greatly enriched by having known him.

Born in the Bronx of Italian-American heritage, Anthony carried a deep pride in his New York roots throughout his life. Even after moving away from the city in 1987, the culture, values, and spirit of New York remained a defining part of who he was. Yet above all else, Anthony's greatest pride was his family. In countless ways over the years - by always being present, offering steady love, care, and guidance, he consistently and quietly sacrificed for their betterment, shaping the lives of those who were fortunate enough to call him theirs. Anthony's quick-witted humor, matched by a deep compassion for others, gave him the rare gift of making everyone feel like a friend and no one a stranger. Although he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his legacy will live on through the family he built and the many lives he touched.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care (950 Malabar Rd.) on Tuesday, February 24, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. St Joseph's parish will host the service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
