Antoinette Renee Coleman (aka Nett-Nett) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 13, 1986. She was the first and only girl born to Robert W. Smith Sr. and Kathleen Coleman. Antoinette was the apple of her parent's eye and being the only girl raised around so many boys taught Antoinette to be tough as nails, and to take care of herself.
Antoinette received her education through the Philadelphia Public School District, earning her high school diploma from Martin Luther King High School. While in high school Antoinette took an interest in cosmetology that sparked a lifelong creative drive. She was always known for her bold hair coloring and styling which later developed her love and passion to continue her education by attending and graduating from Empire Beauty School in 2015.
After graduating from Empire Beauty School, Antoinette worked alongside her mother at Finally Kathy's, a family-owned business that centered on making women feel and look good. Antoinette also worked in various other positions such as Applebee's, Healthcare Services, and the PA Liquor Control Board, but her heart and passion always led her back to cosmetology. Throughout the years Antoinette worked simultaneously at Tempted to Touch Hair Studio and Hair Cuttery all while working in the various positions. Antoinette loved to party and enjoy herself, which sparked her decision to venture into entrepreneurship by partnering with an event planning company called The Crown Kitty Productions where she was second in command.
Antoinette lived her life to the fullest being such a bold and eclectic spirit through her unconventional art-infused style and personality. To know Nett was to love Nett as the person who would do anything for her family and friends.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her grandparents Ronald and Benzina Coleman. Antoinette leaves to cherish her memory: her parents Robert and Kathleen; grandparents, Ander and Vanessa Doughty; two brothers, Robert Jr. and Devin; sister-in-law, Jada; three aunts - Laura, Rhonda, and Jetiesha; four uncles - Benjamin, Morris, Ronald and Dawyne; two aunts-in-laws, Silvia and Sherida; her two godchildren, Elayshia and Ryleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Antoinette's Life Celebration on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00am at John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Her Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am (Livestream: https://www.facebook.com/GeitnerGivnish)
Rest well, our dear Nett, we pray you have found peace. Thanks for all of the love.
