Antoinette (Toni) Serafina Conversa (née Gianvecchio)

March 26, 1937 – January 28, 2026

Antoinette Serafina Conversa, lovingly known as "Toni," passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on March 26, 1937, to Frances and Vito Gianvecchio.

Toni was a devoted mother to Roseann Conversa, Marianne (Chris) Schmidt, and John (Aimee) Conversa. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Alexis Greeson, Anthony Redburn, Peyton Schmidt, Griffin Schmidt, and Gianna Conversa, and a cherished great-grandmother to Kash Shavers.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Conversa Sr.; her daughter, Francine Conversa Redburn; her brother, Roccy Gianvecchio; and her parents, Frances and Vito Gianvecchio.

A woman of deep faith, Toni was a dedicated member of the Rosary Society at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church. She spent many years working at Citizens Bank, where she was known for her reliability and warmth, before retiring.

Toni delighted in life's simple pleasures-spending time on her Jon Jon's deck socializing, savoring a Hershey's Kiss, and settling in for a good western movie. Whether she and John Sr. were sharing a quiet meal at Taco Bell or enjoying a treat together at McDonald's, those small outings became cherished rituals. They were gentle reminders that love often lives in the ordinary: a favorite booth, a shared laugh, or a familiar order enjoyed side by side. Toni took great pride in her classic style, and those who knew her will forever associate her with her signature scent, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and treasured traveling to sunny Florida. Her close circle of girlfriends from Carrollton filled her life with laughter, joy, and a deep, shared faith.

In the quiet hours near the end of Toni's life, a hospice social worker stopped in to check on the family. She gently shared a story from the very first time she met Toni-one that captured her personality perfectly. When she introduced herself at that first visit, Toni smiled and said, "Thanks for coming, but I don't need a social worker-I am social." Hearing that story in those final days brought both comfort and a reminder of who Toni was: warm, witty, and wonderfully herself, even in the hardest moments.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Symphony Tri-Cities and Swan Hospice, as well as the many friends Toni made at Symphony, whose kindness and companionship meant so much to her.

Toni will be remembered for her devotion to family, her faith, her gentle elegance, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her legacy will live on through those she loved.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Toni's life will be held at St. John Paul II Parish - St. Josaphat's Catholic Church once renovations are complete, in accordance with her wishes. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.

To honor Toni's memory, the family invites you to embrace the kindness and faith she carried throughout her life. Consider offering a random act of kindness, savoring a Hershey's Kiss, or praying the rosary in her name. For those who feel called, donations may also be made to her "St. Josaphat's" Catholic Church in her honor.

Toni and John were so kind to my Mom (Betty Rubalcava) After we lost our Dad. The McDonalds group was a life savior for us and Mom. Toni and John were the leaders of the group and they were wonderful...John with his sense of humor and Toni with her sweet kindness...She was a little fashion queen....Mom's last birthday in Jan. of 200l was celebrated at McDonalds....They all became family. They are all together now and enjoying socializing again. Gods angels are here on earth too...People like Toni and John were our Angels...Thank you , Ruth Kolodziej
