Rita Lamblin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snow Funeral Home - Saginaw on Mar. 2, 2026.
Rita "Cathy" K. Lamblin

Bay City, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, Rita K. Lamblin, was unexpectedly called home into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Optalis – St. Francis in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 71. The daughter of the late John E. and Mary Ann (Churchfield) Vickroy was born on July 28, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan. Rita married her husband and true love, Albert J. Lambin II on August 23, 1975, and together they were able to spend nearly fifty years of marriage together full of family, laughter, and happiness before his passing on January 16, 2025. A devout Christian, Rita was a faithful member of Living Hope Church. Though Rita was taken form us far too soon, we find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with not only Jesus but also her husband, Albert, whom she loved with all her heart. Rita was a down-to-earth woman whose life was defined by kindness and selflessness. She genuinely cared for others and had a natural gift for teaching. Rita worked faithfully for 20 years at Meijer and also dedicated time to Kroger, forming many friendships along the way. Family was Rita's greatest treasure. She loved to spend time with her family, gathering around the table playing games, especially Sorry! that often-brought laughter and competition. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: attending bingo nights, tending to her beloved pets, and faithfully walking her dog Willy each day. She also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. An animal lover at heart, she treated her pets as cherished members of her family. Rita's warmth, genuine nature and loving heart will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are daughter, Kimberly Dennis and Trevor Easter; son, Richard Lamblin; niece, who was like a daughter, Stacey Dudewicz; son-in-law, Michael Dennis; 6 grandchildren, R.J., Dakota, Jacob, David (Debbie), Johnnie, Marcus; fur babies, Willy, Bella, Peanut, and Buddy; great-grandchild, Connor; sister, Vickie (David) Revard; sisters-in-law, Rita (Joe) Grabowski, Mary (Rex) King, Gloria Hartman, Threasa (Rod) Warden, Janice (Kevin) Grigsby, Katrina Lamblin, and Joann Vickroy; brother-in-law, John (Joyce) Lamblin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is lovingly reunited with her husband, Albert; parents, John and Mary Ann Vickroy; great-grandchild; brother, Dennis Vickroy; brothers-in-law, Michael, Danniel, Martin; and niece, Samantha Gibbson; and her sweet cat, Binx.

A Celebration of Rita's Life will take place on 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) Saginaw, Michigan. Pastor Pat Legan from Reach Community Church will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those wishing to make a donation in honor of Rita's life may consider donations to wishes of the family.
