Antonino "Tony / Nino" Fusaro passed away on June 26th, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick New Jersey. He was 73 years old.
Tony was born in Frazzano, Sicily and his family moved to the United States when was he was three years old and settled in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He attended New Brunswick High School and was a standout athlete in both baseball and football.
Tony held a few professions. He worked as a mason for several years with a specialization in brick laying. He was a member of the Army Reserve, of which he was honorably discharged in 1978. Before retiring he worked as a sergeant toll collector for the NJ Turnpike.
Nino and Claudia were married in 1984 and resided in North Brunswick, NJ. They had a loving and happy union and enjoyed spending time with their children, traveling, and family holidays.
In his retirement, Nino enjoyed visiting friends, shopping, sitting on the front porch with his neighbors, and watching the Yankees. Tony was also a member of Adams AC where he enjoyed the annual fish fry and reconnecting with high school friends.
Tony is predeceased by his parents Francesco and Elena Fusaro. He is survived by his loving wife Claudia, his children, Anthony Fusaro (wife Michelle), Stacy Larosa (husband Derrick), and Mary Tamasco (wife Missy). Tony also leaves behind five grandchildren, Andrew, Dean, Logan, Anthony, and Lorenzo.
Donations in Lieu of flowers can be made to the North Brunswick Adams Athletic Club via check made out to Adams Athletic Club
A formal visitation will be held at the Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick on Sunday June 29th from 4pm-8pm.
