Antonio Maffei

Antonio Maffei passed away suddenly on July 23, 2021. Born in Salza Irpina, Italy on April 12, 1929. He was the son of the late Francesco and Carmella (née DiMattia) and a beloved husband of Assunta Maffei (née DeGisi) who had soon to been married 65 years on August 4. Besides spending time with family and friends, Antonio loved to watch soccer games, hunt, fish, and tend to his garden. Antonio was a hardworking man and determined to fix things in his garage his own way. Antonio will be remembered for his generous heart as well as his love for family, friends, and animals. Antonio is survived by his three children Franco Maffei, Anna Maffei-Kegel, and Maria Lista, as well as his seven grandchildren, and soon to be six great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Antonio's Life Celebration at Visitation BVM Church of Trooper, 196 N. Trooper Rd. on Thursday July 29, 2021 from 9 am to 10:50 am followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 am. Entombment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
