Antonio J. Roman

Antonio J. Roman, 71, of Windsor, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Born in Puerto Rico, son of the late Juan and Josefa (Candelaria) Roman, he came to the U.S. in 1958 and was raised in Hartford before settling in Windsor. Antonio was employed at Hartford Mitchell House and Hartford Housing Authority for many years until his retirement. Then, he worked at the Charter Oak YMCA and Parkville Senior Center. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, old cars and was an avid sports fan. He will be remembered for his easy going nature and calm demeanor. Antonio leaves his significant other Robin Alexander and his son Antonio D. Roman. He also leaves his siblings, Milagros Jimenez of Hartford, Maria Veguilla and her husband Santiago of FL, Gladys Roman-Leon and her husband Ronald of Newington and Francisco Crespo, Jr. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Jose Francisco Crespo and Edwin Roman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, March 25th at 4:00 pm at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
