“Living Life Full Throttle"
On December 30, 2025, Antonio Lewahn Smith—better known to his friends and family as "Bonio"—revved his final engine and rode off into glory to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Antonio had accepted Christ at Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church on May 19, 1996, under the guidance of Reverend James Alexander, setting the foundation for a life lived with faith, joy, and an infectious smile.
The Legend of the Trampoline House
Antonio achieved legendary status in his neighborhood when his home became the epicenter of childhood joy—the famous "Trampoline House." Kids from blocks around would make a beeline to his yard, drawn by the promise of epic bounces and even better company. Antonio would welcome each one with his trademark warm spirit and that smile that could light up the whole block. He didn't just have the coolest backyard; he had the biggest heart.
A Love Story and a Life in Motion
Antonio navigated the Metropolitan Davidson County School system with style, landing at McGavock High School where he met the love of his life, Ashley. Their story culminated in marriage in March 2018—proof that high school sweethearts really do exist. He graduated from Stratford High School with the class of 1997, ready to take on the world.
From the moment he got his first scooter as a kid, Antonio was hooked. That little scooter sparked a lifelong passion for anything with wheels and an engine. Whether he was tinkering with radios, working under the hood of a car, or spending quality time with his daddy at the drag strip, Antonio was in his element. Motorcycles and muscle cars weren't just hobbies—they were his language of love and adventure.
Riding On in Memory
Antonio was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Willie and Lucille Smith; maternal grandparents Evelyn and Lawson Harding; uncles Thomas Lee Harding, Doris Harding, and Lawson Harding Jr.; aunts Sandra Harding and Eltheresa Harding; cousin Candice Harding; sister Shannon Smith and brother Sylvanius Cole II. We know they welcomed him home with open arms.
The Family He Left Behind
Antonio leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his mother Christine (James) Williams; father Tommy (Sylvia) Smith Sr.; brothers Tommy Smith Jr. and John Hayes; sister Tajah Bohannon and Marquitta Williams, LeAnna Harding and Thomas Harding, his beloved wife Ashley; aunts Lucy Faye (Charles) McClain, Joyce Ann (Andrew) Talley, and Shirley (Tracy) Gibson; uncles Bobby Jo (Elizabeth) Smith, Hugh David Smith, James (Angeline) Smith, Eddie Lee Smith, Jerry (Kenya) Smith, and Craig Smith; niece Nia Smith; and nephews Tommy Smith III, TyJuan Bohannon, Darius Williams, Sylvanius Cole III; great nieces Zhavia and Zendaya Karponai; bonus brothers Kelvin Miller and Harry (Dova) Webb; special friends of the family Dr. Kanitra (Chris) Henderson Fitts and Amaya and Curtis Henderson; devoted friends Rico and David (Barbara) Portwood and a host of cousins and friends.
Antonio's legacy isn't measured in miles or RPMs—it's measured in smiles shared, kids welcomed, and love given freely. Rest easy, Bonio. The trampoline might be quiet now, but the joy you brought will bounce on forever.
