Cherishing the life of
Mr. Antwoine Leon Arnett
Brother Antwoine Leon Arnett, 50 was born on August 16, 1974, to James Herrington and Geraldine Arnett in Augusta Georgia.
Antwoine graduated from Screven County High School with the Class of 1994 and received a scholarship for playing sports to attend Coastal Georgia Community College. He later graduated from Ogeechee Technical College passing the state exam to become a Commercial Truck Driver. During his career he had the opportunity to be part of his community, displaying customer service and networking with many people. He enjoyed working with the City of Sylvania and Georgia Southern University until his passion changed to become a Truck Driver. Even though he had other jobs, he enjoyed working with Blackshear Trucking under the direction of Mr. Eric Blackshear and his co-workers until he was unable to work any longer. Antwoine had a love for sports outside of school and played with the Adult City League Basketball team. He wanted to instill discipline, morals and education with the youth. He was a volunteer basketball coach for Screven County Recreation Department and Georgia Prospects traveling basketball team.
At an early age, he attended Waters Grove Baptist Church with his grandma, Cleo Arnett (deceased) and mother. During his adulthood, he started fellowshipping with True Love Tabernacle Deliverance Center under the leadership of Pastor David Arnett and Evangelist Gloria Arnett (both deceased). As time continued to pass under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Adams, Sr and Co-Pastor Sandra Adams, the church family was able to witness a rejoicing day as he joined the church in May, listening to his beautiful testimony on how he accepted salvation, and Jesus as his personal Savior three months earlier in February. From that moment until God called him by name, he died Tuesday evening, September 24, 2024. He served the Lord with his whole heart.
Antwoine was a devoted father who loved his children with everything in him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, while always bragging about the Class of 1994. He loved to travel, cook, and talk about his cars and dogs.
He preceded in death Ahmad Elijah Arnett and leaves his loving memories and will be truly missed by his dear children: Demetree Abbott, Tijah Arnett, Jermez Williams and Jaden Arnett; devoted mother Geraldine Arnett and father James Herrington; siblings Deondra Arnett, Latasha Hawkins (Gary), Devontay Flowers Sr., Tanya Cosey, Antonio Roberts, and Ashley Herrington; aunts: Josie Shefton, Vicki Parker (Charles) and Terry Herrington and uncle Waymond Arnett (Patricia); nieces: Celest Arnett, Quaneesha Arnett, Kierra Hawkins, Shamyra Pressie, Jynesha Brown, Kaidence Cosey and Ashlyn Herrington; nephews: Jermany Hawkins, Gary Hawkins Jr., Jysheem Hawkins, Devontay Flowers Jr., DeAndre' Flowers, Jyshon Brown, Deontae Arnett, Caleb Cosey, Percy Flowers, Ashton Rodgers and Craig Dixon Jr. A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
