Anuraj Berde, the son of Yadunath and Vasanti Berde, passed peacefully on June 1st. He is survived by the love of his life Vaidehi, his father Yadunath, and sons Atharva and Anay. Anuraj was born and raised in Mumbai, where he spent his childhood years playing cricket, writing stories, and listening to Kishore Kumar. He graduated from Pune University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Yet, upon graduation, he realized that it wasn't his calling. Inspired by his best friend, he came to the United States to seek new opportunities. After 2 years of hard work and diligent pursuit, he graduated from San Jose State University with a Master of Science in Information and Systems Engineering, all while overcoming financial hardships. After graduation, he moved through several different jobs, searching for the perfect one. It wasn't till 2006 when he found his true calling after joining IBM; he never left. Anuraj was a man of many interests. He loved cricket, taking naps, the 49ers, Amitabh Bachchan, Shalimar, action movies, Coldstone Ice Cream, debating his sons, Guy Fieri, banana milkshakes, cooking, Cicero's Pizza, Breaking Bad, his Mustang Mach-E, photography, and celebrating life's milestones with his loved ones (and more importantly, a Burnt Almond Cake). But, above everything, he adored his family. He loved to talk with his father Yadunath and mother Vasanti, he loved watching the NFL with his son Atharva, he loved sharing his stories with his son Anay, and most of all, loved hearing his wife Vaidehi laugh. Thank you all for being a part of his life.
