Mrs. April May Brown, 58, of Stone Mountain, formerly of Elberton and Toccoa, wife of Ken Brown, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

April was born in Atlanta on April 2, 1967, daughter of the late Mary Jo "Pat" Clay Duckworth. She was a 1985 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School, and worked at Group Underwriters in Elberton and American Pest Control in Toccoa. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in both Elberton and Toccoa. April loved being outdoors by water, spending time at the lake and the beach.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Allan Brown; daughter, Miranda Brown Hanley and her husband Noah of Stone Mountain; son, Chandler Kenneth Brown and his fiance` Anaise Jordan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren: Lincoln Hanley and Lachyln Hanley; siblings: Crystal Crawford and her husband Jamie of Seneca, SC, Sandra Alman and her husband Craig of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Debbie Boling and her husband Gary of Maryville, TN; and mother-in-law, Joy McIntosh Brown of Elberton.

Visitation celebrating April's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home, 1265 Washington Highway, Elberton.

Graveside services will be held for the family on Sunday, September 7, in Elberton's Elmhurst Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Elberton, 154 S. McIntosh Street, Elberton, GA 30635.
