Kenneth Hampton Northcutt, 66, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away after a short hospital stay of natural causes on August 24, 2025.
Kenneth was born on July 17, 1959 in
Toccoa, Georgia. He lived in Toccoa, attending Stephens County High School and graduating in 1977. He spent his childhood enjoying lake life and hunting with his father. Kenneth was involved in sports in high school, sparking a lifelong interest in college and professional sports. He attended The Georgia Institute of Technology beginning in the summer after high school graduation and completed a degree in Industrial Management in 1981. After graduating from college, Kenneth moved to Dallas, Texas, to work for United Technologies/Otis Elevator. He would go on to make several moves for Otis, advancing his career with each one. His last stop with Otis was as the manager of the Atlanta, Georgia Office. He retired from that company in 2009 and immediately began a job with Norment Security in Montgomery, Alabama. He came back to Atlanta in 2013 and ended his working career with Schindler Elevator, retiring for good in 2020. The Northcutts remained in Alpharetta for 34 years, raising their family in the area. He made one stop in Birmingham, Alabama in 1984 where he moved into an apartment, meeting the love of his life, Lisa Warner, and they dated a year before they married in Ozark, Alabama in 1985. They celebrated 40 years of marriage this past April. Ken and Lisa had two children, Jarrett, born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1989 and Lauren, born in 1992 while living in Alpharetta.
Kenneth loved to support his children in their various activities, Jarrett with baseball and Lauren with swimming and tennis. He made lifelong friendships during these adventures. During retirement, he joined a golf group and a golf club where he worked on his game and had great camaraderie with fellow golfers. If he was not playing golf, he enjoyed following Jarrett's baseball games he coached and attending University of Georgia football games. His most treasured pastime, however, was being "CaCa" to his grandchildren, they being the apple of his eye. He loved them with all his heart and they brought him great joy. He would never turn down the opportunity to babysit them if asked. Spending time with family was his greatest investment. Trips with them included going on cruises, skiing in Utah, and visiting the beach, his absolute favorite vacation destination.
