April Smith-Matthews Obituary
April received the gift of life on July 9, 1978, to Terea Smith and the late Robert Smith, Jr.
April attended and graduated from Grand Ridge High
School. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, April was also preceded in
death by a daughter, Beyonce Sorey; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
She leaves treasured memories with her mother, Teresa Smith of Grand Ridge, Florida; two daughters, Tia Smith and Summer Sorey of Grand Ridge, Florida; one brother, Reginald Smith and wife, Jennifer, of Malone, Florida; three grandchildren Kieara Commodore, Za'Marion Sorey and Naomi Commodore; one niece, Kebrianna Smith; two nephews, Tasondre Smith and JaQuavious Smiith; seven aunts, Christeen Smith (Walter), Lillie Dickey, Diann Dawson (Calvin), Nora Smith, Nancy Smith, Barbara Franklin and Ruthie Smith Coker (Elijah); two uncles, Deacon Abel Smith (Shenika) and Marvin Ward (Linda) and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
