Eddy Cook

Eddy Cook, 67, of Cypress, FL passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Born in Cypress on November 16, 1958, Eddy spent his childhood outside, riding his bike any and everywhere the two wheels would take him. He graduated high school and wanted to immediately start working with his hands. He worked various trades throughout his life and committed over 30 years of service to Florida State Hospital.

He dedicated his adult life to loving and providing for his family. He was known for his willingness to "show up" for others, his good sense of humor, and his love for the outdoors. He is survived by his daughters: Amber Stokes (Matthew) and Autumn Pitts (Lonnie), grandchildren: Abigail and Danielle Stokes, Kimber and Garrison Pitts. Siblings: Barbra Rabon (Wayne), Bill Cook, and Dianne Studstill (Dick). Predeceased by his wife of 41 years: Kimberly Cook, mother: Juanita Mears Cook, father: Willard Cook, brother: Willard Cook, JR.

A service celebrating his life will be held at McAlpin Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM with the service starting at 12:00 PM. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Vitas Hospice, and especially his nurse Jordan, for being a resource to Eddy during his final days helping to provide comfort and support.
