Aralee Jolen Swindle, aged 37, of Sycamore, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Tift Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born on May 24, 1988, in Valdosta, she was the beloved daughter of Robert Darrell Swindle, II, and Laura Aralee Rosengren Swindle.
Growing up, Aralee was very active; she danced at Gerlock Studio starting at 3 years old, participated in gymnastics at the Y and earned a spot on the competition team. Aralee played softball while in elementary and middle school, and in high school she became a member of the Georgia Bridgemen band at Lowndes County up until she graduated in 2006. During her time in the band, she got the opportunity to travel and participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Rose Bowl Parade and the Inaugural Parade for President George W. Bush. Aralee had a love for children of all ages, and they all loved her as well. She became an educator for almost 10 years after graduating from Valdosta State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Aralee was a devoted member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ where she taught adult ladies’ classes and volunteered to teach at Vacation Bible School. After moving north from Valdosta, she joined forces with her fiancé Alex, working in the office of a car parts dealership. As everyone who knew Aralee knows well, she loved keeping up with her family and the many friends in her life. She regularly called, texted, or messaged everyone. She had a big heart and loved us all fiercely.
She is survived by her loving parents, Darrell and Laura Swindle of Valdosta; her sister and brother-in-law, Alayna Nicole Patera and Mark, also of Valdosta; her brother, Robert Darrell Swindle, III, of Valdosta; her fiancé, Alex Munoz and his son Cole of Sycamore, GA, and her nieces Bella, Audrey, Ansley, and Lainey, and her maternal grandmother, Karla Rosengren, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Aralee was preceded in death by her nephew, Gabriel Benjamin; her paternal grandparents, Bobby and Joyce Swindle; and her maternal grandfather, Riddell Oree Rosengren.
A funeral service honoring Aralee’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Central Avenue Church of Christ, with Mr. John Klimko officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Youth Group or to Faith Avenue Teens/Children. The family welcomes online condolences at www.mclanecares.com.
