Arash Zoobin (Zoob), age 42, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2025.
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Central Church of Christ, 1401 S. Madison St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Zoob was born on June 15, 1983 in Ogden, Utah to Magid Zoobin and Dolores Montanez Zoobin.
He graduated from Amarillo High School. He then attended West Texas A&M University where he obtained a bachelor of science degree followed by a master’s degree from University of Texas in San Antonio. He was a health fitness specialist and Rehab tech at One Stop Fitness LLC. He was an activities coordinator at Banyan Treatment Center. Zoob was an online personal trainer and Exercise Physiologist. He also worked at Gold‘s Gym. Some of his passions were bodybuilding, hiking, skiing, nature, and traveling. He was also an avid reader, one of his biggest loves was working with Special Olympics. He enjoyed playing soccer and sand volleyball. His most notable athletic traits were football, soccer, track and field, and weightlifting. People naturally gravitated to his gentle spirit. He never met a stranger.
Zoob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Abdullah grandmother Zarin-Taj Zoobin of Iran, his grandfather Antonio Montanez, grandmother Mary N. Magana of Ogden, Utah, and his faithful dog Heina.
He is survived by his parents, Magid and Dolores Zoobin and his two sisters Sarah and Shada Zoobin. He is also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in both Iran and Ogden Utah.
Donations can be made in his honor to the special Olympics of Texas, P.O. BOX 47106, San Antonio, TX 78265.
