Jolene Joyce Bollacker, 75, of Amarillo, TX, was called home by Jesus on September 28, 2025.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 PM, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Jolene “Jo” was born July 27, 1950 to Farrell and Evelyn (Steffen) Bentley in Scottsbluff, NE. and the youngest of their 5 children. She was involved in many groups while growing up in Scottsbluff, such as Campfire, 4-H, Stentens and High School Pep Club. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1968.
In her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life Lanny Bollacker. She and Lanny attended Platte Valley Bible College for a year together, before they married on April 13, 1969. The next year they started a family adding Kimberly in November of 1970 and later Chad in November of 1972.
During their 46 years of marriage, as a pastor’s wife, they lived in many places, making wonderful lifelong friends along the way. Many times she was a Sunday school teacher, Co-Youth minister, and occasionally filled the role of Sunday School Superintendent. She enjoyed coordinating VBS as well as other extra church functions. Later, she went to work in Hallmark stores in Coffeyville, KS, Abilene, TX, Dodge City, KS, and in Amarillo, TX.
Jolene will be remembered for her unwavering love for Christ, and family as well as her calming strength and commitment to those around her. She was blessed with unwavering confidence and positivity in whatever situation life presented her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny, her parents, 2 sisters; Beverly Mullins and Jeanie Rice, and 2 nephews.
Jolene is survived by her daughter Kimberly Willimon and husband John, of Amarillo, TX, her son Chad Bollacker and wife Cathy, of St. Joseph, MO. Her 5 grandchildren: John and Jenell Bollacker of Snohomish, WA, Matthew Kill of Caney, KS, Kristanna and Brady Willimon, of Amarillo, TX, Jason and Loelei Bollacker, of St. Joseph, MO, and Clayton Willimon of Amarillo, TX. Her 5 great-grandchildren: Seianna, Joel, Ariel, Emily, Elizabeth and one expected arrival in January 2026. Her one sister Elaine Dittman of Lancaster, CA, and her brother Darrell Bentley of Scottsbluff, NE; as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
