Dr Arcadio L. Dumpit lived a full life devoted to helping others as a physician and as an active member of the Lions Club in the Chicago area for most of his life.
Born in LaUnion, Philippines, Dr Arcadio L. Dumpit graduated medical school from the University of the East in 1963. He then immigrated to the U.S. that same year. He completed his residency at Norwegian American Hospital in 1964 and practiced in family medicine in the Chicago area for the next 60 years.
He participated in many charitable activities with various organizations. However, most of his charitable work was as a member of the FIL-AM Lions Club of Chicago which included many trips to the Philippines as a medical missionary.
Dr Arcadio L Dumpit and Cora G Dumpit were married on July 26 in Bauang, La Union, Philippines and they would have celebrated 60 wonderful, fulfilling years together this year.
Dr Arcadio L Dumpit, along with his wife, Cora G. Dumpit, raised their family in the Chicago area. His favorite pastime, was watching his grandchildren's dance recitals, competitions, musicals, and soccer/basketball/volleyball games. He was always their number one fan.
In 2023, they relocated to Shelby Township, MI to be close to their daughter and family and to enjoy life in Michigan
Visitation Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 4-9pm with 7:00pm Rosary at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Funeral Wednesday, July 10, 2024 Instate 8:30am at St. John Vianney 54045 Schoenherr (btw. 24 & 25 Mile Rds.) until time of Mass at 9:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
