He was an excellent and fair teacher. He was one of those rare teachers who really cared and wanted you to succeed! He made class fun and one I always looked forward to!

Archie has been a good friend for 54 years. I met he and Sue Bailey working on the Sander Levin for Governor campaign in 1970. Archie was the key leader in Genesee County at that time. Later Archie was a key supporter when I was elected to congress in 1974. Archie was, of course, a leader for teachers and public education. And when he entered elective politics he was a great success and a dedicated public servant in Flushing and Genesse County. Archie also helped me get elected governor and supported all my programs and efforts. He was also one of my appointees. We´ve stayed I touch all these years and I frequently saw Archie at various MSU programs. His humility, loyalty and dedication to good public policies and good friends made Archie a special person to hundreds of his admirers, I being one of them. What a man! May you rest in peace. Jim Blanchard.

Archie Bailey was Vice Principal at Flushing High School during my high school years. Mr. Bailey was responsible for my older brother actually graduating. My brother's attendance was not "up to par" and when spring of 1977 came, my brother was coming up a little short. Mr. Bailey personally saw to it that my brother was in class so he would pass and thus graduate. I have another story but I will spare you. Suffice it to say that Mr. Bailey cared about his students and demonstrated it every day at Flushing High School. Rest in peace Mr. Bailey.

Condolences to Mr. Bailey´s family. Mr. Bailey was a wonderful educator and counselor at Flushing High School when I attended school. He was always very understanding and helpful to all the students. Mr. Bailey will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

I am so sorry for everyone's loss. He was vice-principal for a few years while I was at Flushing Senior High and he was always so sweet when I was sent to see him (and it was many, many times) but he inspired me to do my best and to stay in school until I graduated. I did and then I went on to get my nursing degree. Everytime I bumped into him, he always remembered me and asked about my life. I too will miss him dearly but he will always be carried in my heart.
