Archie A Matthews

Absent from this earthly body, now in the Presence of the Almighty God.
On Friday, April 19th 2024, God called Mr. Archie A.Matthews into His care, from Labor to Reward.
Archie was born on August 28,1944 to the late Mr. Golden Matthews and Mrs. Lula Mae (Bush) Matthews in the city of West Palm Beach, Florida. In the early 1960's Archie was a member of (COPD) Citizens on Patrol Department as well as a volunteer for the Fire Department.
On April 21,1978 Archie was united in marriage to Avernel A.Sapp, from this union a loving daughter was conceived, Amanda. Archie also has an elder son Archie A. Matthews Jr. A loving husband for forty-six years and a caring and supporting Father.
Archie was a man of loyalty and commitment. He was employed with Tequesta Country Club for 45 years as a Mechanic. Archie had a passion for racing cars, in his spare time he enjoyed using his mechanical skills to repair cars. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity.
He Leaves to cherish his memories: A loving wife, Avernel Matthews: Two children, (son) Archie A. Matthews Jr. and (daughter) Amanda Matthews of Jupiter, Fl.; Sister: Gloria Matthews Patterson of Jupiter, Fl.: Brother-in-Law: John D. Glover (Kay) of Dayton, Ohio: Nephews: Marc Hinson of Norfolk, Va., Wesley Hinson of Riviera Beach, Fl.; Nieces: Robin Sigler of Norfolk, Va., Daphne Glover of Houston, Texas, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will dearly miss him!
In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to The American Heart Association.
