Ardena Louise Bartlow, a beloved homemaker and dedicated member of her community, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on April 21, 1936, in Belva, Oklahoma to parents Thomas and Beulah (Brown) Inman. Throughout her life, Ardena exemplified love for her family and a commitment to her faith, which shone brightly in all her endeavors.
Ardena completed high school and on May 15, 1954 was united in marriage with Rex H. Bartlow in Waynoka, Oklahoma. Together, they cherished 60 joyful years until Rex’s passing in 2014. After marriage, Ardena then pursued further education that included key punch school, orthodontic dental assistant training, Lear Jet Electronics training, and preparation to become a Farm Management Fieldman's assistant. Her diverse skills were matched only by her caring nature.
Ardena was a devoted and loving mother to three children, Bradford Bartlow (Ann) of Topeka, Kansas, Ladena Fulmer (Steve) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Michael Bartlow (Melanie) of Baldwin, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex, son Michael, son-in-law Steve, and 8 of her siblings. Ardena is remembered fondly by sisters Virginia Harmon of Rogers, Arkansas, and Darlene Lyon of Woodward, Oklahoma. She cherished her role as a grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren.
For over thirty-five years, Ardena attended North Baptist Church in Ottawa. She actively contributed by serving on the hospitality committee, as a deaconess, and as a member of the scholarship committee. Her dedication to her church community reflected her deep-seated faith and her desire to serve others.
Ardena had a passion for reading, gardening, and caring for animals. She found joy in spending time outdoors among her flowers and surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly.
A visitation in her honor will be held on December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dengel & Son Mortuary. The funeral service will take place the following day, December 19, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the same location, followed by interment at Highland Cemetery.
